Biography

Sophie is a non-resident fellow at the United States Studies Centre, a research assistant at the Centre for Security and Emerging Technology, and a graduate student in the Security Studies Program (SSP) at Georgetown University, Washington DC.

Previously, Sophie worked at Salus Ventures, a dual-use focused venture capital fund, and as a research associate on the foreign policy and defence program at the United States Studies Centre. Her research and work in industry spans national and economic security issues, with a core focus on technology. This includes AU-US defence industrial base integration and innovation, AUKUS Pillar II, and scaling AI applications in allied coalitions.

Sophie is a 2025 General Sir John Monash Foundation scholar, a Georgetown University Merit Aid scholar, and a Pacific Forum Young Leaders program scholar.
