Rep. Akihisa Nagashima

Biography
Rep. Akihisa Nagashima is a seventh-term member of the House of Representatives with the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). He currently serves as Chairman of the Special Committee on Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction. He previously served as State Minister of Defence in 2012. He also served as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs and National Security. Prior to his political career, Mr. Nagashima joined in the Council on Foreign Relations as a Research Associate, and lately Adjunct Senior Fellow.
