Biography

Admiral Phil Davidson is a retired four-star Admiral in the US Navy. He was the 25th Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, commanding there from 2018 to 2021. In his nearly 39 years of active service, he commanded US Fleet Forces Command in the Atlantic, US SIXTH FLEET and STRIKFORNATO in Europe, an aircraft carrier strike group, a cruiser and a frigate. He also held assignments in the White House, the Pentagon, the State Department and every major geographic fleet in the Navy. Admiral Davidson serves on Military Advisory Groups at both the Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA and the U.S. Institute of Peace, on the Board of Governors at the Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs at Brown University, and he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
