In addition to real-world experience, students who take on our internships also receive six elective credit points towards their degree. The program provides academic support for students to refine research approaches and discuss questions arising from the placement.
The USSC offers undergraduate and postgraduate students an exclusive opportunity to intern at the AmCham office in Sydney. The program gives students unprecedented access to AmCham to work on issues concerning Australia-US relations in the business space.
Foreign policy, defence and strategy interns work with the USSC research team on pressing issues affecting Australia’s relationship with the United States.
Interns will work with the USSC innovation and entrepreneurship team to address real-world problems and produce analysis and insights pertinent to the growth of New South Wales and Australia.
Interns will develop their analytical, writing and problem solving skills as they experience the real-world application of economics and economic data in the fast-paced environment of a research centre.
