Biography
Sallie Yea is a Human Geographer, based in the School of Agriculture, Environment and Vet Science at Charles Sturt University. She has been researching human trafficking and precarious migrant labour in the Asia- Pacific region for more than 20 years, with her research spanning a wide range of sectors and geographical contexts. She has published widely on these subjects, including journal articles in Progress in Human Geography, Political Geography, and Geopolitics. She has published two monographs on human trafficking in Singapore and South Korea respectively. She is currently completing a longitudinal study on Filipino migrant fishers working on industrial fishing fleets.
