His research on American fiction, television, art, and cinema has appeared as in The Journal of Popular Culture, Cultural Studies Review, Comparative American Studies, and in edited collections. He writes popular pieces on American society and culture, and he has been interviewed on national television and radio. His current monograph, ‘The Cinematic Face of American Literature,’ argues that new critical perceptions on violence, sexuality, and the way writing makes meaning are observed in contemporary American fiction when it is read through the lens of visual culture.
