Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program is a multi-year research initiative focused on understanding the United States as an innovation leader with a view to developing insight for the benefit of New South Wales and Australia.

The United States is a leader in innovation. Some of the biggest companies in the world call the United States home and, in recent years, US innovators have created and introduced products and business models that have fundamentally changed the way in which we live and work and travel.

For Australia — with 26 years of uninterrupted economic growth driven largely by property and natural resources — an opportunity exists to refocus and drive future prosperity by harnessing new ways of thinking, new ways of doing business and new ways of developing products and services.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program is a multi-year research initiative, funded by the NSW Government, focused on understanding the United States as an innovation leader with a view to developing insight for the benefit of NSW and Australia.

Research areas include business, technology and policy trends in the United States in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship, including in the emerging area of agtech, venture capital, cybersecurity and defence industries.
