Lucky Wuwung

Lucky Wuwung is a PhD Candidate at the Australian National Centre

for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS), University of Wollongong, Australia. His research focuses on ocean governance and the blue economy. Lucky graduated from the Indonesian Naval Academy in 2001, and earned a Master of Maritime Policy from ANCORS, University of Wollongong, Australia, in 2013.

Since 2021, Lucky has undertaken doctoral research on integrated ocean governance, with a focus on identifying lessons from countries’ experience in managing their ocean and coastal areas could be relevant and beneficial in improving sustainable ocean development in Indonesia. Lucky is supervised by Professor Alistair McIlgorm and Associate Professor Michelle Voyer. Lucky has collaborated with other ANCORS academics to publish papers on the Blue Economy related to Global Blue Economy Governance (2022) and Sustainable ocean development policies in Indonesia (2024).
