Dr Lael Brainard
Former Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System of the United States

Biography
Previously, Brainard served as Undersecretary of the Treasury Department, receiving the Alexander Hamilton Award, and earlier as G7 Sherpa. In the international arena, Brainard has served as Chair of the Financial Stability Board Committee on Assessing Vulnerabilities and of OECD Working Party 3. Brainard is currently Distinguished Fellow at the Georgetown University Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy and Chair of the Kitchen Table Project. Earlier, Brainard held appointments as Vice President at the Brookings Institution and Associate Professor of Applied Economics at MIT Sloan School. Brainard received a doctorate in economics from Harvard as a National Science Foundation Fellow.
