Ian Saines has been member of the United States Studies Centre's Board of Directors since June 2020. He was appointed Deputy Chair in September 2020.
Ian has had an extensive career in investment and commercial banking, and asset management. This spanned roles including Chief executive – Funds Management at Challenger Limited, Group Executive – Institutional Banking and Markets at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Managing Director at Zurich Capital Markets Asia and Executive Vice President at Bankers Trust Australia and various roles at the Reserve Bank of Australia.
Ian’s current Board roles include Non-Executive Director of Macquarie Bank Limited, Non-Executive director of Treasury Corporation of NSW (TCorp), Deputy Chair of American Australian Association Ltd., and Non-Executive director of Air Lease Corporation (a Los Angeles-based public company). He was formerly a director of Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off the Streets and a director of the Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA). He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
Ian has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with first-class honours from the University of New South Wales.
