This month's distinguished guests Jeff Bleich, former US Ambassador to Australia and Chelsey Martin, former Australian Consul-General in Los Angeles discussed the US election results with USSC CEO Simon Jackman and Perth USAC CEO Gordon Flake.

Chelsey Martin
Partner and Managing Director, Bondi Partners
Chelsey Martin is a member of the United States Studies Centre’s Board of Directors. She is also Partner and Managing Director of the business advisory firm Bondi Partners. Prior to joining Bondi Partners, she served as Australia’s Consul-General in Los Angeles, with responsibility for Australia’s relationship with the United States South West.

Ambassador Jeffrey Bleich
Former US Ambassador to Australia
Jeffrey Bleich is a former US Ambassador to Australia. He was previously a Distinguished Ambassadorial Fellow at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.

Professor Simon Jackman
Professor Simon Jackman was Chief Executive Officer of the United States Studies Centre from April 2016 to May 2022. Between 1996 and 2016, he was a Professor of Political Science and Statistics at Stanford University. Jackman's teaching and research centres on public opinion, election campaigns, political participation, and electoral systems with special emphasis on American and Australian politics.

Professor Gordon Flake
Chief Executive Officer, Perth USAsia Centre
Professor Gordon Flake is a member of the US Studies Centre's Board of Directors. He is the founding Chief Executive Officer of the Perth USAsia Centre at The University of Western Australia.
