Dr Chulanee Attanayake

Dr Chulanee Attanayake is a researcher, author and speaker with expertise in Geopolitics and Security in the Indo-Pacific, Small states, China and South Asia, and Sri Lanka’s domestic politics and foreign Relations. Her current research focuses on maritime security and maritime sovereignty of small states with a special focus on the underwater domain. She has authored numerous articles, book chapters, books, reports and op- ed on these topics. She speaks at research forums, government institutions, and is interviewed by media outlets. Dr Attanayake is currently a PhD scholar at Swinburne University of Technology. Prior to joining Swinburne, she was a Research Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore, and still holds affiliation as a Non-Resident Fellow at the institute.
