The United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, with the support of the Dow Chemical Company, has released the final report from the Dow Sustainability Program.
The report draws together the outcomes of this six-year program in five main areas: alternative transport fuels, soil carbon and soil security, sustainable management of surface and groundwater, the water/energy nexus in a carbon-constrained world, and the urban environment.
It demonstrates the enormous breadth of work undertaken and the significant impact and contribution to public good made.
The final report was presented to Minister for the Environment and Energy, The Honourable Josh Frydenberg MP at a special ceremony in Parliament House Canberra. Director of the Dow Sustainability Program Robert Hill, managing director and regional president of Dow Australia & New Zealand Tony Frencham and US Studies Centre CEO Simon Jackman all spoke at the event.
