Primary elections have begun across a number of US states. Democratic and Republican candidates are being elected ahead of the November midterms, which are shaping up to be an important test for Donald Trump's second term in office. In Kentucky, a Trump-endorsed GOP candidate won the race after Congressman Thomas Massie lost his fight for re-election following his vocal criticism of the president. Massie has been one of few Republicans to publicly challenge Trump's policies — and his ousting marks a victory for Trump and his faithful.
