The Australian reports that Donald Trump has two options and one hope in Iran. The options: escalate or leave. The hope: a deal with Tehran that allows him to claim victory and go home. He’s probably happy to leave the Iranian regime intact provided it opens the Strait of Hormuz, and makes at least a pro forma commitment to end its nuclear program.
