Dr Daniel Smith is an American-Australian Association Postdoctoral Fellow at the United States Studies Centre.
Biography
Dr Daniel Smith is an American-Australian Association Postdoctoral Fellow at the United States Studies Centre. He completed his doctorate in Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge in 2023 and has subsequently worked as an adjunct professor of political science at Miami-Dade College in Miami, Florida.
Daniel's research focuses on anti-globalism and the emergence of right-wing populist political parties, movements, and leaders around the world from the late 20th century to the present day. He is currently working on a book about the history of anti-globalism, the American far-right, and the rise of Trump.
