US President Joe Biden and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese (albeit separately) met with the Chinese President Xi Jinping amid the G20 summit happening in Indonesia this week. Dr Michael Green, the CEO of the US Studies Centre is quoted by the TIME magazine on the importance of this meeting.
He says that there’s good reason to try to repair basic diplomacy and dialogue with China. “While investment flows, values, and security interests all put the U.S. at the center of Australian foreign policy."
