US Studies Centre's Associate Professor Dr David Smith is quoted in the Herald Sun article about how the US midterm elections have seen Democrats now counting on former president Donald Trump, and his chosen candidates.
Dr Smith says, “The party wants to talk about defending democracy from people who are trying to undermine it, ... Then they go after one of the few Republicans who stood up against Trump in the aftermath of the Capitol riot – that really doesn’t sit right.”
