The migrant surge at the US-Mexico border is a “domestic issue that isn’t going well” for President Joe Biden as protesters interrupted a Georgia rally to call for the closure of detention centres, according to US Studies Centre CEO Simon Jackman.
“You saw at the rally the cross pressure, the left of the Democratic base are fired up about a lot of issues but this is one of them and they really want a big, big point of difference between the Trump administration and the Biden administration,” he told Sky News.
