Today, the United States Studies Centre (USSC) releases Key players in the Biden administration, an overarching analysis of the key appointees in the Biden administration and their significance for Australia. After passing the 100-day milestone, this publication provides insights into what Australians can expect from the Biden team in the next hundred days and the 1,260 thereafter.
“We’re proud to publish this analysis by the Centre’s new Research Associate, Victoria Cooper. It’s an invaluable resource and point of reference for Australians which compiles the most salient points on President Biden’s appointees,” explains USSC CEO Professor Simon Jackman.
“There are a lot of familiar faces in Biden’s team – 14 of the 15 members covered in this analysis previously held positions in a presidential administration,” report author Victoria Cooper notes, “but it's quite clear when you look at the key people of influence in the Biden team that this administration is unlike any that have come before it."
This compilation offers both a snapshot of 15 cabinet and senior staff members who are the most consequential for Australia's interests, as well as a detailed analysis on each key player, outlining: their confirmation, career highlights, achievements during Biden's first 100 days, and the implications for Australia in the next phase.
“This compilation doesn’t just summarise the accomplishments and modus operandi of Biden’s influencers, but it analyses trends and priorities to provide targeted insights for Australian decision-makers,” says Ms Cooper.
