The first round of January 6 hearings may have ended, but the committee investigating the Capitol riot seems to be just getting started. USSC's Senior Fellow Bruce Wolpe joined ABC radio's Saturday Extra with his analysis from the United States.

"Liz Cheney said the 'dam has broken' with people coming forward with evidence for all those (January 6) events," Mr Wolpe said.

"What this committee has done has laid out a seven-pronged alleged conspiracy directed by Donald Trump to overturn the election and keep himself in power.

"In Watergate, it was 'what did the President know and when did he know it'. With this atack on the Capitol it is 'what did the President do and when did he do it'. That's what they tried to show ... the three hours plus where the President didn't try to stop the mob."
