Dr Ahmad Almaududy Amri

Biography
Ahmad Almaududy Amri is an Adviser on the United Nations Reform, Budget and Legal Affairs Team in the Office of the President of the 75th session of the General Assembly. Dudy oversees Security Council Reform; UN Development Reform; and matters related to the Law of the Sea. Additionally, he serves as a focal point for the Non-Alignment Movement (NAM) and Asia-Pacific Group.
Dudy is a diplomat from Indonesia. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in 2009, and served in various positions at the Directorate of Legal Affairs; the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Legal Affairs and International Treaties; the Secretariat of the Research and Policy Planning Agency; and the Directorate of Legal Affairs and Territorial Treaties. Dudy was formerly a junior advocate at the MR&P Law Firm in Jakarta.
Before joining the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Dudy served as First Secretary for Political Affairs at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations in New York.
Dudy is a lawyer by training, having finished his Bachelor of Law (International Law) from the University of North Sumatra, Indonesia in 2008. He holds two master’s degrees, a Master of Laws degree (Business Law) from the Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia (2010), and a Master of International Relations degree from the University of Indonesia (2011). Dudy also holds a Doctorate degree (Law of the Sea) from the University of Wollongong, Australia (2016).
