The Centre hosted an in-depth and interactive discussion with Hanya Yanagihara about her award-winning book A Little Life and the inspiration behind it. Insightful, devastating, and hopeful, Yanagihara’s novel pushes the limits of human cruelty while examining the restorative power of love. Yanagihara touched on the broad range of themes, relationships and emotions explored in the book, as well as how her life and work influenced its complex depiction of modern life.
