USSC Director of Research Jared Mondschein spoke to ABC TV about the results of the USSC's 2024 Allies and partners poll showing that more Australians believe the US-Australia alliance will survive a second Trump presidency.
"Australians' perception of Donald Trump have not changed, they have an overwhelming negative perception of him," said Mondschein.
"But I think Australians are increasingly of the view that the US alliance is pretty distinct from the ... occupant of the White House."
