US officials are "used to Australia saying yes"

USSC CEO Dr Michael Green is quoted in an article discussing Canberra's decision to decline the US Navy's request to join a multinational naval task force in the Red Sea.

Dr Green tells Australian Financial Review that the decision does not raise any doubts about Australia’s commitment to the US alliance. While there is no alarm in the US capital, he says, “there is one eyebrow raised in some quarters. Because US officials are used to Australia saying yes.”
