USSC Research Editor Victoria Cooper talks to ABC The World Today about Donald Trump leaving the Iowa campaign trail to appear in US District Court, Washington DC, just a week before the Iowa caucuses kick off.
Cooper says that Trump is likely confident given he leads his Republican rivals by "one of the largest margins of any aspiring Republican candidate ever."
"These interactions with the courts and this idea that he is being politically persecuted helps him to gather outrage voters to come and support him ahead of the primary season."
