PhD Candidate Daniel Fleming spoke at our February Research Seminar on his PhD topic Remembering Martin Luther King: Radical, Revolutionary or Reformer.
Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. is perhaps one of the most vital figures of the modern era. An African American Baptist minster and activist, King was a prominent leader in the American civil rights movement. King worked towards ending racial segregation and racial discrimination through non-violent means such as civil disobedience. Without a doubt everyone has heard of his "I Have a Dream" speech which established him as one of the greatest US orators of our time.
