USSC Non-Resident Senior Fellow Bruce Wolpe talks to ABC Radio's RN Drive program about former prime minister Scott Morrison's meeting with former president Donald Trump on the sidelines of Trump's hush money trial in New York.
Morrison reportedly used the opportunity to engage Trump on the AUKUS submarine deal. Despite this, Wolpe says it's s still unclear what Trump's stance on AUKUS will be if he becomes president.
"He's exceptionally transactional," says Wolpe. "Is Trump going to use AUKUS as a bargaining chip to get something better out of China on trade or Taiwan?"
