Bruce Wolpe, non-resident senior fellow at the United States Studies Centre, spoke on ABC's AM program. He said that former President Donald Trump could run a 'split screen presidential campaign', as he juggles between being 'defender in chief' or 'commander in chief'.
Mr Trump has pleaded not guilty to federal criminal charges that he unlawfully kept national security documents when he left office and lied to officials who sought to recover them.
