USSC Non-Resident Senior Fellow Bruce Wolpe talks to East Side FM about current aid bills in Congress. Wolpe speaks of the “dysfunctional standing” of the House of Representatives, and states that public anger towards the House is largely “directed towards the Republicans because they are the leadership.”
Discussing the current motion to pass separate funding packages to Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific, Wolpe notes division among Republicans: “Donald Trump has split the party between the old Ronald Reagan wing and the Trump isolationist wing. And there are a lot of Republicans in the House that just do not want aid to go to Ukraine.”
