US Studies Centre associate professor Brendon O’Connor told Sky News that Joe Biden’s government will have a very different approach to foreign policy, compared to President Donald Trump’s administration. Mr Biden named his national security and foreign policy team on Tuesday consisting of Antony Blinken, as secretary of state, Alejandro Mayorkas, as secretary of homeland security, Avril Haines, as director of national intelligence, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, as ambassador to the United Nations, Jake Sullivan, as national security adviser, and John Kerry as special presidential envoy for climate.
