USSC Director of Research Jared Mondschein is featured in an SBS article discussing former president Trump's recent comments in which he described Australian Ambassador to the United States, Kevin Rudd, as "a little bit nasty." Mondschein says that if Donald Trump wins the presidential election "we might hear... these sorts of news bites, but on the whole substantively, I think things are still trending pretty positively."
In particular, Mondschein highlights Rudd's work on the AUKUS partnership: "He's gotten deep in the weeds on this legislation working with members of Congress across the aisle on this really challenging and complex legislation."
