The 2016 Australia New Zealand American Studies Association Postgraduate/Early Career Researcher Conference featured keynote addresses by Professor Leigh Ann Duck (University of Mississippi) and Professor Paul Kramer (Vanderbilt University), a proseminar presented by Professor Beth Bailey (University of Kansas) and Professor David Farber (University of Kansas), a special roundtable with Dr James Grossman, Executive Director of the American Historical Association, and a book launch for Dr Michael Thompson. Other sessions included a workshop on academic and non-academic career preparation that was open to all postgraduates and early career researchers and was useful regardless of geographical or disciplinary specialisation.
