If presidential candidate Joe Biden wins the US election in November, the country will have its first black woman as a vice-president.

The Democrat candidate has picked Californian Senator and former state attorney-general Kamala Harris as his running mate – the first black or Asian-American woman to be nominated for the role.

So who is the woman could be America's second-in-command?
