USSC CEO Dr Michael Green and Research Fellow Tom Corben are quoted in an article discussing US Congress progress towards passing fast-track legislation that will advance the AUKUS pact.
Dr Green tells The Sydney Morning Herald that the progress in Congress shows that, despite widespread scepticism about the pact, AUKUS is “on track.”
Corben says Australia is acquiring the “most advanced and deadly naval platform out there” in the form of the Virginia-class submarines — even if the first two boats are between five and 15 years old.
