USSC CEO Dr Michael Green is quoted in an article in The Sydney Morning Herald discussing President Biden's decision to decline an invitation to travel to India later this month for a Quad leaders' meeting originally billed for 27 January.
Dr Green says that he expects Biden to significantly curtail his international travel schedule this year as “the goal politically is to focus on inflation, the economy.”
“Travelling to India or the Asia-Pacific doesn’t help Biden’s re-election chances and that’s what he will be focused on for the next 11 months.”
