Zoe Meers

Zoe Meers is a Data Visualization Analyst and Research Assistant at the United States Studies Centre. Her primary academic research interests are public opinion and political behaviour in the United States. She is particularly interested in applying quantitative methods, including data visualization, to the fields of public policy and political science.

Zoe is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Biostatistics at the University of Sydney. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Government with a minor in Statistics and Data Science at Smith College. Prior to joining the United States Studies Centre, she interned at the Centre for Multiparty Democracy in Nairobi, Kenya. At CMD-Kenya she worked on the two-thirds gender rule campaign to gather public opinion on the unenforced gender quota in the Kenyan parliament. In 2018, she was a Google News Lab fellow in data journalism at the ABC.
