Executive and Research Assistant
Umber Latafat is the Executive and Research Assistant at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.
Previously, she worked as a Deputy Manager in the Office of Global Engagement at Habib University in Pakistan where she managed the study abroad program, liaised with external stakeholders, and helped organise dialogues and conferences.
Prior to joining Habib University, Umber worked at the Center for Regional and International Studies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Qatar. Her research focused on Middle East politics, migration, and water security.
Umber holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and a Master of International Relations from the University of Sydney, with a specialisation in American Foreign Policy.
