Non-Resident Research Associate, Foreign Policy and Defence, United States Studies Centre
Toby Warden is a Non-Resident Research Associate in the Foreign Policy and Defence Program at the United States Studies Centre. He is also a World Universities Ramsay Postgraduate Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he is reading for a MPhil in Modern Chinese Studies.
Toby was a Research Associate at the United States Studies Centre in 2020-21.
Toby was previously a Research Assistant at Sydney University’s Centre for International Security Studies. He has previously interned at the Federal Court of Australia’s International Programs Unit, PwC Hong Kong, and the East-West Center in Washington, DC.
He completed academic exchanges at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of California, Los Angeles.
He holds a Bachelor of International and Global Studies with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney.
