Pamela Maddock has a PhD in history from the University of Sydney and a BA from Yale. Her research combines gender and labour history with the social history of medicine. During her doctoral candidature, she worked for a semester as a visiting scholar at Harvard’s Department of the History of Science.
Since 2015 Pamela has been teaching various units in the Department of History, the Department of Writing Studies, the School of Education and Social Work, and the Dalyell Scholars program at the University of Sydney. She was awarded the FASS Dean’s Citation for Excellence in Tutorials with Distinction in 2019.
