The cost of the Washington DC Placement Program is a combination of 3 different costs. The program package fee, the University of Sydney internship unit (USSC3703), and additional costs.
Note: the program package fee is quoted in US dollars, as the majority of the costs covered under this fee are payable in US dollars. However, the final amount payable will be in Australian dollars and the exchange rate will be determined one week before the deadline for the final fee payment.
1) Program package fees (includes UCDC tuition and on-campus accommodation): USD $9500
2) University of Sydney internship unit tuition
3) Additional costs
Students are also responsible for the following costs:
We estimate that these extra costs for the Washington DC Placement Program are approximately AU5000 but will vary depending on personal circumstances.
Program package fee
The program package fee must be paid in Australian dollars and the exchange rate will be determined one week before the deadline for the final fee payment. Participants will be given information on how to submit their payment once accepted to the program.
University of Sydney tuition
Eligible local students enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place may apply to defer their tuition fee payment for the University of Sydney internship unit (USSC3703), through the Australian Government's FEE/HECS-HELP scheme. For more information on FEE/HECS-HELP, visit the Study Assist website.
If you are not eligible for HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP, you will be required to pay the tuition fee upfront.
Note: FEE/HECS-HELP can only be used to defer payment of the internship unit tuition fee (where eligible). FEE/HECS-HELP does not cover the program package fees and any other associated costs. If students elect to defer their payment for the internship unit, then their upfront program fee liability will be the total program package fee.
