Before you submit your application, please make sure you are able to commit to the following dates:

Stage 1. Application

6 March 2023: Applications open
26 March 2023: Application deadline at midnight AEDT (including payment of AU$400 application deposit)
31 March 2023: All applicants notified of the outcome of their application by the end of the day (successful and unsuccessful). Scholarship recipients are also notified at this time.

Stage 2. Pre-departure

6 April 2023, midday: Group registration
Mid-late April 2023: Group visa session to apply for F-1 visas and schedule interviews, I-20 forms distributed at the session.
Mid-late May 2023: Interviews at the US Consulate in Sydney
26 May 2023: Final pre-departure session and social event

Stage 3. Fees

4 April 2023: Additional AU$600 deposit due with the acceptance of the offer
Due date listed on BruinBill: Accommodation fees due to UCLA Housing
15 May 2023: Full tuition program fees due
22 May 2023: Last day to withdraw and receive a refund for fees paid, less the AUD$1000 deposit

Stage 4. UCLA

25 June 2023: Arrive LA
26 June 2023: Lectures begin
26 June 2023: Last day to add a unit on MyUCLA without incurring a late fee
04 August 2023: Session concludes
05 August 2023: Depart LA

Stage 5. Post-program

7 August 2023: Arrive in Australia for the start of week 2 of semester 2 at the University of Sydney
Late August 2023: Welcome home reception, Date TBC.

Please note: Students are required to attend the full summer sessions at UCLA from 26 June to 04 August 2023. Due to the intensive nature of study, students are required to attend all timetabled classes.

Participants in the program will miss 'week 1' of semester 2, 2023. Please ensure you make the necessary arrangements.
