Lecturer in US Politics and Foreign Policy Dr Gorana Grgic spoke to ABC Radio's 'The World Today' program about the affect that President Trump's about-face on his statements about Russia meddling in the 2016 election will have on the upcoming midterms.
Dr Grgic says it's unlikely that his walkback will affect his standing with his base.
