In an interview for 9 News online, Dr David Smith discussed how President Donald Trump is giving Americans a false picture of the seriousness of the COVID-19 crisis, saying he's seen the pandemic "purely through the eyes of his re-election campaign".
Dr Smith says Trump has been "using his briefings as campaign opportunities because now he can't hold rallies, which is his favourite campaign tool".
