US President Donald Trump says he never asked the former FBI Director James Comey to drop an investigation into his ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn. In a tweet, Mr Trump blamed "fake news" for covering what he called "Comey's lies". Michael Flynn pleaded guilty last week to lying to the FBI and agreed to cooperate with a special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in last year's election.
