Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese weighed into the US gun debate following the mass shooting at a Texas primary school that resulted in the deaths of 19 teachers an 2 teachers. While prior Australian prime ministers largely avoided discussions of the contentious issue, Albanese said: “The US democratic system in their Congress and their Senate needs to act on this. They can't continue to have these tragedies occur.”
