President Donald Trump delivered his first major speech at the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday, singling out a number of "rogue regimes" for criticism, included Iran. He also said that the United States would "totally destroy" North Korea unless it backs down from its weapons programs, mocking Kim Jong-un as a "rocket man" on a suicide mission.
There was some unexpected praise in the speech for the United Nations as a body that can bring together sovereign states to tackle the world's problems. Some commentators described the address as "an eloquent exposition of [Trump's] America First doctrine".
Still on the press tour for her new book, Hillary Clinton late Tuesday called the speech "very dark" and "dangerous" during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
