Former prime minister The Hon. John Howard OM AC will share his thoughts on US President Donald Trump this Thursday evening at a special 'in-conversation' event at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, hosted by the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.

Mr Howard will appear alongside The Australian's editor-at-large Paul Kelly, who will guide discussion about Trump's unprecedented election and the future challenges and opportunities for the US-Australia relationship.

"This unmissable event is the first time Australia's second longest-serving prime minister has given an in-depth assessment of the Trump presidency," USSC CEO Simon Jackman said.

"Mr Howard was a close confidant of former Republican president George W. Bush, and is uniquely placed to analyse the eventful first six months of Trump's tenure, as well as what may lie ahead for US allies like Australia."

For media wishing to cover the event, please RSVP before COB Wednesday via the contacts below. Media are requested to arrive at 5.30pm for set-up prior to the 6pm start time. A media riser will be available for cameras.
