The Australian Ambassador to the United States, The Hon. Joe Hockey, will share his thoughts on the relationship between the US and Australia in the wake of the 2016 US presidential election campaign as the special guest of the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney on Wednesday 2 November.
Ambassador Hockey will offer his thoughts on the implications for Australia of a new US administration, engage in a conversation with the Centre's CEO Simon Jackman, and take questions from the audience.

Ambassador Hockey is a University of Sydney alumni (BA 1990, LLB 1990) and a former president of the university’s Students’ Representative Council. He first entered the Australian Parliament in 1996 as the Member for North Sydney and spent more than seventeen years on the front bench, including as the nation’s treasurer from 2013-2015.
