Honorary professor Edward Blakely has been announced as an eminent scholar by Texas A&M University in the United States.
The title of Eminent Scholar is awarded to scholars for continuing outstanding contributions to their disciplines. Eminent scholars teach academic units and mentor other scholars at selected universities.
The National Science Foundation funds the Eminent Scholar program. Blakely will work primarily with the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M, giving talks at conferences and providing guidance to young, minority students in urban, regional and architectural sciences and arts.
